An Experience

At The Yog Circle, we firmly believe in the quote “Growing Together…”. TYC is the brainchild of Sujata Nerurkar who firmly believes that, the more you share, the more you grow. The Yog Circle is a platform where all Yog enthusiasts, irrespective of their age, gender, experience, can come together to learn more. Teachers learn from their students and students gain from the experience of the teachers.

Meet Our Founder

Hi… welcome to The Yog Circle. I am Sujata. My longing of bringing all Yog enthusiasts under one roof to share the knowledge and to learn from each other irrespective of the years of teaching experience gave birth to “The Yog Circle”.

Having trained 600+ yoga teachers and 3000+ students, I experienced how all of us come across obstacles in our practices and while teaching. This led me to build Yog Mandala and share the learnings through our other services.

You know, back in my childhood, yoga was not a big deal. We would practice Yoga asanas with the same sense of resignation as we brushed our teeth… I guess I was indoctrinated into Yoga pretty early. I grew up and entered a fast-paced career in the field of computers. Along came childbirth, a bad back and in a few years, I could feel myself buckle under work pressure- Yoga lay long forgotten. Then it happened- a childhood photograph of my Yoga pose… and it brought back a forgotten moment of utter stillness- a moment I longed to experience again, with Yoga.

I pursued this quest over the next 20 years. I trained under masters of Vinyasa (power) Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Iyengar Yoga. I completed specializations in Pranayam, Yoga Therapy, Office Yoga, Mind management, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), movement as therapy, etc. Somewhere along the way, I began to grasp the wisdom of the Yoga sutras. It made me realize the deep possibilities of Yoga- it aroused the desire to share my learnings.

In Yoga, I found my source of happiness and inner harmony. I hope that we can accompany you along your yoga journey as well.

Namaste!
